| Understanding
Your Development Needs
A detailed briefing is essential: it is the first and most
important step in ensuring synchrony between need, the assignment’s
target population(s), desired outcome, the solution and its
best process, budget and time.
The briefing will ideally take the form of a three-step information
gathering exercise:
Phase 1 – Discussions with you to understand
your company’s strategy and its operational goals. This
ensures that the development activities are wholly grounded
in reality. Click here for an insight
to how we work
Phase 2 – Discussions with members of
your target population(s) to understand their roles, objectives
and development needs.
Phase 3 – Discussions with members of
each target population’s line management to confirm perceptions
and, importantly, bring them into the development process
from the beginning.
From these discussions we will compile either an Ideas
Paper, which will attract a further and more detailed
review of how to proceed, or a costed Proposal.
Ultimately, the mutually agreed recommendations will become
the benchmark against which performance improvements can be
measured.
